Dr. Mercedes Cook DC DCCJP
Dr. Mercedes Cook is an upper cervical chiropractor in San Diego, California. In her practice she uses a highly specific and gentle adjustment technique to realign the neck to restore proper nervous system function and posture. She has completed the Diplomate of Cranial Cervical Junction Procedure post doctorate program to make her one of the most knowledgeable doctors in the world on the craniocervical junction area.
Her goal is to be a top specialist providing upper cervical care so her patients get the answers to their health and nervous system complications. She is extremely passionate about advancing the upper cervical profession and speaking on its behalf. Dr. Mercedes received her first upper cervical adjustment at age 18 after having severe hip pain, anxiety and sleeping issues for 6 months straight. She had tried the medical route to fix the issue and nothing worked! Thankfully she was recommended to an upper cervical provider near her hometown for chiropractic care. Dr. Denicio Drake
Dr. Denicio Drake completed his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State University. He then went on to chiropractic school at Life West in Hayward, CA. Originally from Los Angeles, Dr. Drake moved back to San Diego to continue his chiropractic career. Dr. Drake had neck and back pain from multiple high school football injuries. During chiropractic college, he received full spine adjustments that only gave him temporary relief and once under upper cervical care, his neck and back pain completely went away.
Gloria: UCCSD office manager
Gloria was born and raised in San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles. She has always had a passion for learning about the human body and anatomy which made her want to pursue a career in massage therapy and practiced for massage for 9 years. Since moving to San Diego in 2018, she found her new home in Upper Cervical Chiropractic San Diego and has seen firsthand on how upper cervical adjustments change lives. Every time you call or step foot in our office you’ll be greeted by this amazing human who is always ready to assist you! In her free time, she enjoys going to the local farmers market, exploring vegan restaurants, and hanging out with her dog Benson.
Sarahi: Licensed Massage Therapist
Sarahi grew up in San Diego and has a love for nature and helping others feel their best. She graduated from The International Professional School of Bodywork in San Diego. She has found her true calling as one of the most sought out massage therapists in San Diego. Sarahi is extremely nurturing and is passionate about massage with a focus on trigger point therapy. Some of Sarahi’s other specialties include deep tissue and Swedish massage, myofascial release, joint mobilizations, as well as proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation. She is an expert in the neck and back regions. Sarahi believes in the importance of continued education for the purpose of professional growth and she continues to hone her craft in massage therapy. She experienced a wealth of knowledge during a trip to Thailand for the study of Thai Massage at The School of Thai Massage. Sarahi always looks forward to welcoming new clients, working closely with them and assisting them in the improvement of their body health and overall wellbeing.
